To whom it may concern:

This letter is in reference to a requested donation from your business to help offset the cost of purchasing child id kits for our children in Woonsocket in memory of Savannah Smith. On May 8, 2007, the City of Woonsocket will be dedicating the playground at Globe Park in memory of Savannah. As part of the dedication, I, Jo-Ann L’Esperance, Savannah’s Aunt, will be extending this event further by also making it a day of awareness and a celebration of Savannah’s life. May 8^th is also Savannah’s Anniversary, the day she was taken from us.

For those of you not familiar with this foundation, Savannah Smith, 8, a resident of the city of Woonsocket, was kidnapped and murdered by her neighbor on May 8, 2006 and a Foundation was established in her memory.

We will be holding raffles and prizes with the donations, and the proceeds will be strictly used to purchase the child id kits and any materials needed for fingerprinting purposes. The event is open to any and all wishing to attend.
